Can you play Powerball from the Philippines?
Yes, but not through PCSO. PCSO only sells its own games (6/42 up to 6/58, plus 6D, 4D, 3D and 2D), so there are no Powerball tickets at your local lotto outlet. Pinoys who want a shot at a billion-dollar jackpot play online, through one of two kinds of site:
| theLotter | Lottoland | |
|---|---|---|
| Model | Ticket messenger | Lottery betting |
| What you get | An official Powerball ticket bought for you and scanned to your account | A bet on the official Powerball result; Lottoland pays the prize (hedged/insured) |
| License | Lotto Direct Ltd, Malta (per its affiliate site) | EU Lotto Ltd, Gibraltar; UK Gambling Commission |
| Also offers | Many international lotteries, including Mega Millions | US draws like Mega Millions, plus Hong Kong Mark Six |
| Philippines accepted? | Not stated publicly: check at sign-up | Not named in its global terms: check at sign-up |
Important: neither site names the Philippines in its public terms, so confirm you’re accepted when you sign up, before you deposit. Only use their official domains; lookalike “PH” domains exist that aren’t the real thing.
Powerball draw time in the Philippines (PHT)
The draw happens at 10:59pm US Eastern time on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, in the Florida Lottery’s draw studio in Tallahassee. Because Manila is 12 hours ahead (13 hours from November), the results arrive the next morning here:
| US draw (ET) | Philippine time, until 1 Nov | Philippine time, from 3 Nov |
|---|---|---|
| Monday 10:59pm | Tuesday 10:59am | Tuesday 11:59am |
| Wednesday 10:59pm | Thursday 10:59am | Thursday 11:59am |
| Saturday 10:59pm | Sunday 10:59am | Sunday 11:59am |
Why the switch? The US is on daylight saving time until Sunday 1 November 2026. The last 10:59am draw in Manila is Sunday 1 November (the US Saturday draw). From the US Monday 2 November draw, which is Tuesday 3 November at 11:59am PHT, it’s an hour later. The Philippines doesn’t change its clocks, so only the US side moves.
Worked example: you buy your lines on Wednesday evening after work. The US Wednesday draw happens while you’re asleep, and the result is out by Thursday 10:59am, just in time for merienda. Simple lang. For every international draw in PHT, check our lottery draw times in Asia page.
How Powerball works
- Pick 5 numbers from 1 to 69 and 1 Powerball from 1 to 26.
- One play costs US$2 at the official price.
- Power Play costs US$1 more per play and multiplies every non-jackpot prize by 2X to 5X, or up to 10X when the jackpot is US$150 million or less. The US$1 million prize is capped at 2X.
- The jackpot starts at US$20 million and has no cap. It keeps rolling until someone wins.
There are 9 prize tiers, from the jackpot down to US$4 for matching just the Powerball. The full table is at the bottom of this page; the tier odds there are our own math from the 5/69 + 1/26 format.
Odds: Powerball vs Ultra Lotto 6/58
| Powerball | Ultra Lotto 6/58 | |
|---|---|---|
| Jackpot odds | 1 in 292,201,338 | 1 in 40,475,358 |
| Any prize | About 1 in 24.87 | About 1 in 88 |
| Ticket | US$2 | ₱25 |
| Starting jackpot | US$20M | ₱75M |
| Record jackpot | US$2.04B | ₱1.18B |
| Draws (PHT) | Tue, Thu, Sun mornings | Tue, Fri, Sun at 9pm |
The Powerball jackpot is about 7 times harder to hit than the 6/58 jackpot. But look at the “any prize” row: because Powerball pays US$4 for just the Powerball, you win something more often than in 6/58. Our Ultra Lotto 6/58 guide and PCSO lotto schedule cover the local side.
Prizes, with a worked example
Worked example: you play 5 lines with Power Play: 5 × (US$2 + US$1) = US$15 at the official price.
- One line matches 4 numbers + the Powerball and the multiplier drawn is 4X: US$50,000 × 4 = US$200,000.
- Another line matches just the Powerball with the same 4X: US$4 × 4 = US$16.
- Most of the time, though, no line wins and the US$15 is gone. That’s lotto, ’di ba?
A few things to check before you play:
- Price per line: messenger and betting sites set their own prices, which can be above the US$2 face value.
- How prizes are paid: with theLotter, the official ticket bought for you is what wins; with Lottoland, Lottoland pays the prize itself. Read how each site handles big wins before you play.
- Currency: prices are in US dollars, so your bank or e-wallet’s exchange rate applies.
Durian tip: Set a monthly Powerball budget in pesos before you look at the jackpot. When the pot crosses US$1 billion, everyone gets excited, but the odds stay 1 in 292,201,338. Fixed budget, no regrets.
The biggest Powerball jackpots
| Jackpot | US draw date |
|---|---|
| US$2.04 billion (cash US$997.6M), one ticket in Altadena, California: the record | 7 Nov 2022 |
| US$1.817 billion | 24 Dec 2025 |
| US$1.787 billion | 6 Sep 2025 |
Powerball is also reaching more countries: tickets went on sale in the UK from 21 July 2026. Want the full international write-up in English? See the main Powerball page.
theLotter or Lottoland: which one for Pinoys?
- Choose theLotter if you want the real thing: an official US ticket bought in your name and scanned to your account. It covers Mega Millions too, and its terms on its Mexico site even list PCSO’s 6/58, 6/55, 6/49 and 6/45 among its draws.
- Choose Lottoland if you’re fine with lottery betting on the result, and you like having Hong Kong Mark Six and the US draws in the same account.
For Mega Millions, the other US giant: it draws Wednesday and Saturday at 11:00am PHT (12:00pm from 4 November), costs US$5 a play and starts at US$50M. See our Mega Millions page.
Want lottery games in pesos at a casino? BC.Game has a Lottery tab with BC Lottery and international draws, and BK8 has Youbetlotto games in the 6/42 to 6/58 formats with quick draws every few minutes. These are casino lottery games, not official Powerball tickets.
Not into lotteries but like number games? Winna is a crypto casino that officially lists the Philippines as a supported country. Its provably-fair Keno can be checked round by round, with instant rakeback and $10,000 daily and $50,000 weekly races. It’s crypto only, so no GCash. Our wagering guide explains how rakeback works in pesos.
How people pick Powerball numbers
Birthdays, your wedding anniversary, your jersey number, or just Quick Pick: the machine doesn’t care. Every combination has the same 1 in 292,201,338 chance, and no “hot numbers” list can predict the next draw. Because lots of people play birthdays, numbers above 31 are probably picked less often, which only matters for how many people you’d share a jackpot with.
21+ only. Play Powerball for fun, never with money you need for bills or padala. If it stops being fun, our responsible gambling page has help.
