Powerball draw time in Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines
Powerball is drawn at 10:59pm Eastern Time on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, in the Florida Lottery’s draw studio in Tallahassee. Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines all run on UTC+8, so one conversion covers all three countries: the draw lands the next morning in Asia.
| US draw (ET) | Day in SGT / MYT / PHT | Time until 1 Nov 2026 | Time from 3 Nov 2026 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Monday 10:59pm | Tuesday | 10:59am | 11:59am |
| Wednesday 10:59pm | Thursday | 10:59am | 11:59am |
| Saturday 10:59pm | Sunday | 10:59am | 11:59am |
The one-hour jump comes from the US leaving daylight saving time on Sunday 1 November 2026.
Worked example: the Saturday 31 October US draw lands at 10:59am SGT on Sunday 1 November, the last one on US summer time. American clocks go back a few hours later, so the next draw (Monday 2 November in the US) lands at 11:59am SGT on Tuesday 3 November. It stays at 11:59am until the US springs forward again in March 2027.
Online services close sales before the draw, and each one sets its own cut-off. The easy rule from Asia: buy the evening before, not at breakfast. Want every draw on one page? Our lottery draw times in Asia table converts them all.
How Powerball works
Each line is a simple pick:
- 5 white balls from 1–69, plus 1 red Powerball from 1–26. Choose them yourself or take a Quick Pick.
- US$2 per line. Add Power Play for US$1 more to multiply non-jackpot prizes.
- Double Play (US$1, selected states only) enters your numbers into a second draw with a US$10M top prize. Online services may or may not offer it.
The jackpot starts at US$20 million (annuity value) and rolls over with no cap until someone matches all six. After a win it resets; powerball.com showed a US$22M estimated restart on 15 August 2026. Jackpot winners choose between the annuity and a much smaller cash lump sum. The record US$2.04B, for example, was worth US$997.6M as cash.
Powerball odds and prizes in plain numbers
The jackpot odds are 1 in 292,201,338: there are 11,238,513 ways to pick five numbers from 69, times 26 possible Powerballs. Any prize at all comes along about once every 25 lines (1 in 24.87), and the most common win is the Powerball on its own, worth US$4. The full prize table sits below this guide.
Worked example with Power Play: you buy one line with Power Play for US$3 and match 3 white balls plus the Powerball, which pays US$100. If that night’s multiplier is 3X, you collect US$300. Match all 5 white balls and US$1M becomes US$2M, because the Match 5 prize is capped at 2X. The jackpot is never multiplied, and the 10X multiplier only appears when the jackpot is US$150M or less.
Power Play adds 50% to the cost of every line. Take it if you’d rather have bigger mid-tier prizes; skip it if you’d rather have more lines for the same money.
How big Powerball gets: the record jackpots
Powerball holds the world record for a lottery jackpot:
- US$2.04 billion (cash US$997.6M), one ticket sold in Altadena, California, 7 Nov 2022.
- US$1.817 billion, 24 Dec 2025.
- US$1.787 billion, 6 Sep 2025.
Its reach keeps growing too: official tickets went on sale in the UK from 21 July 2026. Here’s how it stacks up against the other American giant, Mega Millions:
| Powerball | Mega Millions | |
|---|---|---|
| Price per line | US$2 (+US$1 Power Play) | US$5 (multiplier built in) |
| Jackpot odds | 1 in 292,201,338 | 1 in 290,472,336 |
| Starting jackpot | US$20M | US$50M |
| Record jackpot | US$2.04B (2022) | US$1.602B (2023) |
| Draws in SGT/MYT/PHT | Tue, Thu, Sun 10:59am | Wed, Sat 11:00am |
For the same US$20 you get 10 Powerball lines or 4 Mega Millions lines, with almost identical jackpot odds per line.
How to play Powerball online from Singapore, Malaysia or the Philippines
There are no official Powerball outlets in Southeast Asia, so players here use one of two kinds of online service:
- Ticket messenger: theLotter. It buys an official Powerball ticket for you and scans it to your account before the draw, so you hold a real ticket.
- Lottery betting: Lottoland. You bet on the official Powerball result and Lottoland pays the prizes itself, with jackpots insured. It’s licensed in Gibraltar (RGL 066 / RGL 085) and by the UK Gambling Commission (38991), and it also lists Hong Kong’s Mark Six.
Getting your first line in takes a few minutes:
- Open an account and check your country is accepted at sign-up. We couldn’t confirm that either operator takes players from every Southeast Asian country.
- Check the price per line and the deposit methods at checkout. Online prices include the operator’s fee or margin.
- Pick 5 + 1 numbers or a Quick Pick, and decide on Power Play.
- Buy before the cut-off, ideally the evening before in Asian time.
- Check results from late morning on Tuesday, Thursday or Sunday.
Prefer your own language? Read our Powerball Malaysia guide in Bahasa Melayu, the Singlish Powerball Singapore page, or Powerball Philippines.
Durian tip: Type the operator’s address yourself or use the button on this page. Lookalike domains exist: thelotter.ph and thelotter.com.ph are ad-parking pages, not theLotter.
Picking numbers: what helps and what doesn’t
Powerball is random. Every combination, 1-2-3-4-5 included, has exactly the same chance as any other, and past results don’t change the next draw. “Hot” and “cold” number charts make fun reading but predict nothing.
What number choice can change is how many people you split a jackpot with. Birthdays and anniversaries cluster in 1–31, so a line full of those numbers is more likely to be shared if it wins. Quick Pick spreads you across the full 1–69 range. Many players also join syndicates, sharing the cost of more lines and splitting any prize; Italy’s record SuperEnalotto jackpot went to a 90-share syndicate ticket.
Powerball is entertainment with a one-in-292-million top prize, so set a budget per draw and stick to it. If it stops being fun, our responsible gambling page can help.
